Photographic Competition
7 for 7.30 pm
This is always a very enjoyable and informative evening so even if you do not have photographs to enter, please come along and join in the fun. This will be our last official club night for the year. There will be no braai but everyone to please bring a plate of eats to share.
There will be the three usual categories – Landscape, Close-ups & People/Humerous. We are limiting the photographs to 5 per category per person this year please. There is a once-off fee of R20 per person to enter the competition and wonderful prizes to be won. Rod will be coming to judge and, as always, give us useful tips on how to improve our photography.
DAY HIKE – October
Tuesday, October 25th, 2011Date: Sunday 30 October
Venue: Eagle’s Cove (Kumbagana), Magaliesberg
Cost: R60.00 per person plus an additional parking fee of R10 per vehicle – please pay at the gate.
Start time: 08:30 sharp (Please be at the gate by 08.00)
This hike is in conjunction with our year-end function where 20 of our members will be there for the weekend. We are hoping that the day walkers will come through to join us for a walk on Sunday morning. When you get to the gate, park and pay your own entrance fees and then phone either Peter: 083 389 0026 or Sheila 082 744 7172 and we will come and transport you and your cooler boxes etc to the start of the hike – about 1 km. We will have a braai lunch so bring along all the usual paraphanalia
There is a choice of 3 hikes – we can decide on the day or divide into groups depending on how many people decide to walk.
Please let Sheila know by Wednesday, 26 October if you are coming so that she can have an idea of whom to expect. She will then send a map and directions to those who book.

BASE CAMP
This is now finalised and all those who have booked have been sent the relevant information by Flo. We are sure it will be a most enjoyable weekend as in the past.
NOVEMBER 18 – 20:
BASE CAMP – Korongo Hiking Trail, Middelburg @ R350 per person. On the Sunday hike there will be a guide.
